LISTSERV Tech Tip

Q: Why is it important that LISTSERV can now work with LDAP?

Answer by John Harlan
Vice President, Computer Services, L-Soft

As a means of organizing directory data elements and making them available through fully authenticated queries, the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) has been steadily growing in popularity since its introduction more than a decade ago. Organizations worldwide have adopted LDAP as the basis for their directory services, more often than not in an effort to implement a point "single sign-on" (SSO) allowing users to log in once for access to networked resources distributed across multiple systems, often in multiple locations.

LISTSERV Maestro Tech Tip

Q: I have several LISTSERV Maestro accounts in different groups. Is there an easy way to switch between different accounts?

Answer by Françoise Becker
VP Software Engineering, L-Soft

The LISTSERV Maestro site administrator can set up an "identity" for you to let Maestro know that all the different accounts belong to the same individual. Once this is set up, you can log in once, under one account, and then switch back and forth between all of your accounts. If the site administrator also maps an email address to your identity, you can also switch back and forth between LISTSERV Maestro and the LISTSERV Web Interface.
