L-Soft e-mail delivery records for 1999
Includes EASE and ListPlex® deliveries

Last update: 12 Nov 1999

What do these numbers mean?
Check yesterday's statistics details
Check last year's records

indicates a figure that L-Soft believes to be a single-system world record (for 1999). Whether it sets a record or not, the highest figure for each category is highlighted for easy identification. The PLUM cluster, being a collection of servers in a failover configuration, is not considered for these single-system records.

These figures are derived from the daily statistics reports that L-Soft generates for its EASE and ListPlex® list hosting services. Every single message was actually delivered through a real mailing list with real subscribers all over the world. The numbers were not "pumped up" using test messages, unrealistic LAN-speed test environments or extrapolations.

All these machines are running LISTSERV® and LSMTP®.

The PLUM cluster is a redundant OpenVMS cluster with automatic failover. Outbound messages can be directed to an individual node, with failover to the other nodes, or to the cluster as a whole, with load balancing.
