Merriam-Webster announces contract with L-Soft international



Springfield, MA (April 13, 1998) – Merriam-Webster Inc. is proud to announce that it has contracted with L-Soft international, Inc., to manage the company's Word of the Day electronic mailing list. L-Soft's innovative LISTSERV® mail manager and lightning-fast LSMTP® mailer allow Merriam-Webster to mail its Word of the Day more quickly and reliably and have improved its ability to manage subscriptions to its free service. On-line subscription applications are now possible, and L-Soft has added a searchable archive of previous Word of the Day entries.

The Word of the Day is also posted daily on the World Wide Web and on America Online (keyword WORD OF THE DAY).
