Abstract

A Boolean value which can be set to 0 to disable the display of subscriber counts for al lists listed on the main web archive index page.  The feature is enabled (set to 1) by default.

Example

z/VM:

<not available>

Unix:

WWW_SHOW_SUBSCRIBER_COUNT=0

export WWW_SHOW_SUBSCRIBER_COUNT

Windows:

WWW_SHOW_SUBSCRIBER_COUNT=0

Details

By default, the LISTSERV web interface displays the number of subscribers as part of the list title on the main archive index page.  For instance, the title may appear like this:

Discussion list for Turkish Van Cat Fanciers (2191 Subscribers)

If desired, this feature may be disabled site-wide by setting the WWW_SHOW_SUBSCRIBER_COUNT variable to 0.  If this is done then after a reload the index page entry would look like this:

Discussion list for Turkish Van Cat Fanciers

As noted, this is a site-wide setting and cannot be overridden at the list level.

Default Value

1 (that is, enabled)
